Cotton cultivation in the Northern Region has received a boost, following the introduction of seed cotton pickers to cotton farmers. The devices, which cost $120 per unit, are capable of harvesting between 150-200 kilogrammes of seed cotton a day.
The introduction of the devices is expected to transform the cotton harvesting process by ensuring that the commodity is harvested faster and of better quality.
The facility was introduced to farmers by Armajaro Cotton, one of the three cotton companies appointed by the government to help revitalise the cotton industry. MORE>>
